Richard J. Dietzen, D.C., Medical Director of Chicago Health and Physical Therapy Center, is a board certified, licensed Chiropractic Physician with a long and distinguished career as a medical professional. He is an active force at both the state and national levels behind the recognition and growth of chiropractic science as a successful healthcare option in the diagnosis and treatment of illness and ailments.

David J. Cunningham, D.C.
David J. Cunningham, D.C., rounds out the CHPT team as a chiropractor with over 17 years of experience.
Dr. Cunningham grew up in Youngstown, Ohio, but has called Chicago his home for the lasts 20 years. His collegiate education includes a Pre-Med/Biological Science Bachelor’s Degree from Youngstown State University and a Science/Human Anatomy Bachelor’s Degree from National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, IL. He graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine from National College in 2000 and has a Certificate of Acupuncture and Meridian Therapy. He recently became certified in the Webster technique, a specific chiropractic analysis and diversified adjustment to reduce the effects of subluxation and/or SI joint dysfunction.
Dr. Cunningham has great enthusiasm for sports medicine and athletic training. In his lifetime, he has participated in a plethora of sports including football, hockey, basketball, and track. He is currently an avid cyclist and enjoys participating in triathlons. When treating patients, he tries to infuse his athletic experience with the fundamentals of chiropractic medicine to always promote an overall healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Cunningham believes in the multi-disciplinary approach that CHPT embraces. He is a strong advocate of patient education. He enjoys helping patients get out of pain while promoting strong and fit bodies to avoid reoccurrence of symptoms. He looks forward to serving the surrounding community, embracing his ideals and working with patients’ individual needs.

Matthew Clement, D.C.
Dr. Clement‘s nomadic childhood landed him on the shores of Lake Michigan over 20 years ago, and he has called Chicago home ever since. After completing his certification in Massage Therapy at National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, he practiced locally for 4 years before returning to acquire a Bachelors in Biomedical Sciences and a Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine. His fascination with the function of the human body continues, and he has gone on to complete advanced training in functional neurology, sports medicine and post-surgical rehabilitation. Additionally, he recently became certified in Acupuncture therapy.
Dr. Clement has been an athlete for most of his life, participating primarily in sports like hockey and various martial arts, ranging from traditional styles like Karate, Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido, to modern ones like Fiore and Capoeira. When he is not working to improve the health and mobility of his patients, he still trains in Muay Thai, Jujitsu and Wushu at a local Edgewater gym, and creates strength and conditioning programs to refine and improve the performance of the fighters he trains with, as well as assisting with their rehab when injuries occur.
Dr. Clement believes in the common sense and holistic approach to patient care that CHPT practices. He strives for clear communication with his patients so they may do their best work towards their own wellness, and ensuring they feel supported on that journey. He sees each individual as someone with unique needs, and enjoys the challenge of finding the right combination of therapies for their recovery.

Spencer Kingsley, D.C.
Originally from southern Michigan, Dr. Kingsley has happily called Chicago his home for the past four years. He attended Michigan State University, where he studied Kinesiology before pursuing his Doctorate of Chiropractic Medicine at National University of Health Sciences. During and since the completion of his program, Dr. Kingsley has studied continuing education from McKenzie Diagnostic Therapy and Motion Palpation Institute, whom he has been affiliated with throughout his chiropractic education.
Dr. Kingsley has lead an active and athletic life, playing football in his younger years and spending his time weight training and bodybuilding in the gym since. He grew a passion for nutrition along the way, and looks to incorporate these elements into patient treatment plans. Outside of his love for health and fitness, Dr. Kingsley enjoys the rush of snowboarding during the winter months, and the experiences of all Chicago has to offer.
Dr. Kingsley’s philosophy surrounding chiropractic medicine is a multifaceted system that involves assessment of joint motion, muscular tone, and neurological health. He believes in a holistic approach to medicine, while also not afraid to embrace allopathic western medicine where necessary. Along with elite technique systems and diagnostic ability, patient-physician communication is key to Dr. Kingsley, creating the best possible relationships to support someone in getting out of pain and improving quality of life.
